Good things do not end

I am sure that throughout your life you have heard on numerous occasions that all good things must come to an end. Why does everyone want to put that “period” at the end of everything? On this #TalkingTuesday I want to talk about this ridiculous notion.

First of all, this notion would mean accepting that everything is temporary. Well, the only thing that is actually temporary is your time, in your present body on this earth. Other than that, stop conforming to words that come out of other peoples mouths and start thinking for yourself.

Your life is about how you want to perceive it. Did you go on a great vacation and now you miss it and keep saying all good things come to an end? Actually, your current vacation only finished and you made memories that cannot be taken away from you. Your vacation did not end, this “period of rest and enjoyment” finished only until you can begin the next level of travel. It is not over, it is merely to be continued.

You might say that I am just twisting words to make my point. Guess what? I can say the same thing to you about twisting words to bring your scenario to an “end” instead of a continuation. Life is about what you choose to make of it. If you want to talk about constant “ends” then, you will grow into a lifelong pessimist. If instead you want to watch your life grow and flourish than you must learn to be an optimist. Why did I say you will grow into a pessimist but I said you must learn to be an optimist? Well, we are taught from a very young age to conform and we are taught that everything good comes to an end. As you age you just grow into the comfort of fitting in with everyone else around who has been taught the same things as you. On the other hand, in order to be an optimist, it takes a whole new level of learning. You have to re-learn the opposite of what has been taught to you your entire life. In order to be an optimist you must learn that your life is controlled only by you. You have to learn that nothing has to end if it is something that you really want. You just close a chapter and continue to figuratively write the next chapter of the book of your life with a new chapter of the book encompassing anything you want. Your writing if this book will contain with as many chapters as you want and the book never has to end as long as you want to continue to write chapters for it.

My point for this blog post is to tell you that good things never have to end as long as you are willing to forge ahead and this is for your personal and or your business life. This blog post is to tell you that you need to stop living according to how others want you to live and start living your life on your terms and with your choices.

I would like you to read a book which I have recommended in the past. The book is called. The Four agreements and I think you will enjoy this reading journey. Here is a snippet of this book. “reveals the source of self-limiting beliefs that rob us of joy and create needless suffering”. Please pick up a copy from your local library or borrow it from a friend. If neither option is available, here is the link to get a copy from Amazon>> https://amzn.to/2VqDUsX

The meaning of life

I have been so busy all day that I made myself a little sick. I came home in time to eat dinner with my son and I have been in bed since. I had said to myself earlier in the day that I just did not have it in me today to do a blog post for #MammothMonday but as I lay here and watch the time close in on 11:00pm I realize that I want to say something.

I read something today that seemed very fitting for today. I read, in part, that Happiness is the meaning and the purpose of life. Aristotle was the one making this statement and for whatever reason, I read it over and over again. He said that it was the whole aim and that it was the end of human existence. What does that mean?

Happiness is very individual and no one person can tell another person how, when or why to be happy and I think that is, in my humble opinion and my personal interpretation, what is meant by the “end of human existence”. I think Aristotle may have had another meaning but to me it means that too many people and maybe even a majority of people NEVER take their own happiness into consideration. Instead, everyone is so worried about being liked and appearing as they think they need to be seen and too many people are conforming to other peoples ideals that I think they slowly die inside of sadness and misery that they cease to exist.

Happiness is the meaning and the purpose of life. Think about it. Again, this is my opinion but we are not put on this Earth to be miserable and yet we rarely do things to ensure our own happiness. I am not trying to get into the meaning of life but I feel that my work is exactly what Aristotle is talking about. I made a conscious decision years ago that I did not want to be miserable working for someone else. I have no idea how or why but I knew I would be happy building my own dream. Please do not misunderstand me because there have been miserable times but even during those times that I cried myself to sleep or the times when I was not sure how I was going to pay a bill or even when I was not sure where I was going to live, I knew that I was doing what was making me happy. I knew that I needed to be happy and I knew without ever having had read this Aristotle quote that happiness is the meaning and the purpose of my life. I knew this in my heart then and I know it know. I think I am the minority in that anyone who tries to find their own happiness in life is seen as selfish and self centered and the shame is that people buy into this terrible notion.

For years now I have counseled people on building or growing their own businesses. I have counseled people on financial freedom and each time I have done that, everyone has left feeling excited and re-energized. I have received amazing feedback directly and indirectly through referrals. The reason people left feeling so good after sitting with me was because they could feel my energy and my enthusiasm. You see, when you love what you do and you do what you love, it reflects outwardly and it becomes palpable to those around you.

The point of this blog post is simple, find your happiness. Life is too short to live in other peoples misery when you can be living the life you were born to live. It does not have to be by growing a multi million dollar business, it can be by having your own business that brings in just enough money to make all your bills. Happiness is not about quantity but it is about quality.

For today’s reading pick, Living Gratitude is a book I would like you to read. It is not about business but it is about realizing the importance of gratitude which will have a trickle down effect on everything else in your life. AffIliate Wealth

Hello and thank you for returning back to my website for my latest blog post. I will start by saying Happy #FundMeFriday and I am going to begin by asking you a question. Have you paid yourself today? If your answer is yes, great, good for you and be excited that regardless of the amount you stashed away today in your savings account, you made progress toward financial freedom. If however you answered with a no, please take any amount and make a deposit into your savings. I do not care if you deposit $5 because It is so imperative that you get into this habit of paying yourself first before spending money on anything if you ever hope to make your dreams of financial freedom into your reality. So if you answered with a no, stop what you are doing and make that deposit. If the bank is closed, sit down for five minutes and write yourself a check then deposit it into your savings using your mobile deposit app that just about every bank has. Whatever you have to do, just get it done.

I have been asked to pick a topic and write about a way that people can start making money immediately. I thought about this for a hot minute and the topic I have chosen is affiliate marketing. I am choosing this topic for three reasons. First of all, you can become an affiliate marketer in about five minutes, give or take a few minutes depending on how quickly you type. The second reason I am choosing affiliate marketing is because of the ease of linking your codes in front of an endless audience. Finally the third reason I have chosen to spotlight affiliate marketing is because it helps you build a knowledge base for your use in building and growing your own business.

Becoming an affiliate marketer is extremely easy regardless of whether or not you have a website. Using an affiliate marketing approach to earning money simply means that by filling out a one time “application” you basically become a partner with brands and businesses that literally reach around the world. Once you sign up with a company like Amazon for example, you get your own dashboard on their site and literally whatever product is on their website you can promote with a special link they issue to you. Once you pick a product, you get your link and post it on your social media pages, on your own website and you can even send the links to your friends you think may be interested in the product and then once someone clicks your link and purchases the product, you get paid. Yes it is pretty much that simple.

In general, you want to choose products that align with your business and with your ideals. The point is to enhance your brand and if you align yourself with like minded companies, it strengthens who you are. For example, if your business is baking, you want to choose from the endless amount of products that are related to baking like muffin tins, spatulas and maybe cookie sheets. You do not want to start posting links for plumbing supplies because there is a sale on them and you feel they will sell quickly. When you start doing things like that, people will not take you serious and may even lose trust in you. So when picking items to promote, stick to your niche.

Finally, when you become an affiliate marketer and you stick to your niche, you end up doing lots of research for the perfect products that you want to align yourself with and by doing this research you begin to broaden your knowledge and you may even be able to develop your own product one day.

This blog post is just a small introduction into the world of affiliate marketing that has helped thousands of people reach their goal of financial freedom and you too can make it happen. Affiliate marketing can be used as a full time income stream or you can use it as a passive income stream. The choice is yours. I am going to be doing either a podcast or an instructional video on YouTube that walks you through the affiliate marketing arena so please click the link below and subscribe so that I can notify you when it is available.

For todays reading suggestion, I have a great book which will take you through the affiliate marketing labyrinth. It will walk you through many scenarios so that you can understand the different ways of making affiliate money. The book is called, From Nothing. Please put it on your library list or borrow it from a friend. If neither option is available, here is a link to get it from Amazon, yes it is an affiliate link too>> https://amzn.to/2rqh5ej

The Do Not List

What on Earth is a “Do Not” list? On this #TrashItThursday, I am going to give you my top three Do Not’s for a successful business. They involve throwing away some preconceived notions and as you begin to implement these three strategies into your daily routine, you will start to see how much easier it will be to run the everyday tasks of your business.

The first Do Not that I want to talk about is the fear that people have in recommending their competition to customers. Do Not be afraid to recommend the competition. If you try and force a “fit” of what you have to offer to a customer, eventually they will become annoyed and may not come back to you again or, they will take what you are offering just to end the awkwardness and you will either wind up with a return or they will talk to people and let them know that you do not know what you are doing and that you made them pay for something they did not want. Avoid this potential disaster by simply recommending your competition when you do not have what the customer wants. They will appreciate your honesty and will more than likely remember you next time they need something. Also, they may respect what you did and refer you to other people. It is a win win situation instead of a total loss.

My second Do Not is that you should not underestimate the things you should not be doing. For instance, you need to make a bank deposit but you decide that you would rather go shopping and make the deposit in the morning. You know darn well that shopping does not take precedence over making your daily business deposit. You are taking a risk of either losing the money, having it stolen or having your bank account overdrawn. You know you should not be so lackadaisical with your responsibility so do not underestimate the importance of knowing what you should not be doing. In other words, you should know right from wrong so treat your life and business with the respect it deserves and always remember that which you know you should not do.

My third Do Not is, do not lay all your cards on the table. Do not give all you have before anyone else has even spoken. Or as I like to explain it, do not get diarrhea of the mouth. For instance, too many people will walk into a meeting, lay their entire plan out, talk about their future outlook on their project, talk about the money involved or even tell the room their entire life story before anyone else has even had the opportunity to say or to ask anything. You have to learn to listen rather than to speak. When you speak you are stating that which you already know. When you listen, you begin to learn and develop new ideas. Also, when you show all your cards so to speak, it leaves you no negotiating room because you have given everyone in the room the upper hand on you. So, remember that a little mystery will make you that much more appealing.

I hope you always keep in mind that all the ideas and tools I give to you, I give to you as pieces to work in conjunction with everything that I try to teach you. If you practice with my ideas and implement them into building and growing your business, I promise it will help you reach the level of success you are looking for.

A major learning avenue that I am always trying to instill in you is to read and at the very least, try to read a book a week. Today I would like to suggest The Will Power Instinct. Please get a copy from your library or borrow a copy from a friend. If neither option is available, here is a link to get a copy from Amazon>> https://amzn.to/2YkG1zQ

Limits Do Not Mean An End

Welcome to another #WisdomWednesday. On this day I would like to talk about what it means to know your limits. People are under the false assumption that when you have reached your limit, you have reached the end and this is not true. In fact it is a warped sense of thinking that has been instilled in us from the moment we began to learn. This is part of the brainwashing I often talk about it is yet another bad habit that you must learn how to break. There are three limits that I would like to quickly discuss that do not mean you have reached an end, they simply mean you need a break or you need some time to refocus and or regroup.

The first limit I would like to discuss is a huge limit and it comes in various forms. This limit is about giving, whether it is giving of your time, giving gifts or just giving breaks. As humans, most of us tend to give whatever we have at the time we are asked. Just because you reach your limit and are tired of saying yes every time someone asks you to give them some of your time or if you have reached your limit when being constantly asked for a donation or for a loan or finally, if you have reached your limit when people constantly ask for discounts or they ask you to work for free, reaching these limits does not mean that you have reached the end of giving and can never do any more. Reaching these limits simply mean that at that given time, you have reached your limit from these requests and will not entertain the request for now but will engage them again in the future when you are good and ready to do so.

The second limit is needing to say no. This is a limit people sometimes reach on a daily basis. When you have mastered the art of saying no, which I have discussed in previous blog posts, reaching this limit is not an end to your ability to ever give a positive response. It simply means that you are done and do not want to hear from that person or about that situation anymore, for now. Just know that saying no does not close a door and it is not an end. Saying no is just a pause until you are ready to proceed or until you are ready to just move on to something different. You can always go back and re-address that situation but at the moment, you are done and you do not need to give reasons as to why you are saying no and you do not have to give a time table when you may replace that no with a yes. Stay in control of your own life and make sure you are always in control of your business.

Finally, the last limit I am going to discuss is knowing when enough is enough. This too is not an end but can be a very frustrating and stressful situation. When you have reached this point of enough is enough, this means that you have allowed yourself to be taken advantage of or you have allowed others to invade your every thought, your personal life and or your business. If you are reaching this point of enough is enough, you need to get back to the basics and go back and read previous blog posts of mine where I specifically tell you how to manage your time and how to stay strong and make sure that you make yourself the primary focus.

So, the point of this blog post is to assure you that although you may have reached your limit when it comes to people, places or things, limits do not mean that you have reached an end point, rather a limit is just a stopping point where you should pause and reflect before moving forward. You need to assess your situation and as soon as you have gathered yourself, you can move forward or walk away from a situation with a clear head. Reaching a limit is actually a great tool for reassessing situations as long as you are aware that you have in fact reached this pause point and you are in tune to what is happening around you.

I am going to once again suggest you read a great book which will boost your inner thought processes and help to propel you in the right direction. It is called Crushing It and I cannot suggest this book enough. Please go get a copy from your local library or borrow a copy from your friend. Top 3 Building Blocks For Success

Hi and welcome to another #TalkingTuesday. I am often asked how can one talk their way into business growth and how can they find that many people to talk to without wasting so many hours in their day? Well, people have to stop taking everything so literal. You have to go with the flow because if you keep trying to force a situation, you almost always come out the loser. Your actions speak just as loudly as your words.

You have to build your business with a certain precision but not necessarily perfection. By this I mean that precision is taking step by step and methodical actions toward building and growing a business but not so much a perfection aspect. There really is no such thing as perfection especially in business and if you keep focusing in on making something perfect, you will lose precious time that could have been spent elsewhere. You cannot just think there is a magic box that will fulfill all your needs. Although there are many building blocks for creating and growing a successful business, I have three major building blocks for all to use while building and growing their business. Think of these building blocks as three main talking points that need to be constantly in your face to ensure you do not go off track.

The first building block is that it is imperative that you build trust. People have to know you have a great reputation so that they can trust that you will deliver what they seek. You cannot buy your reputation so if you are serious, you must make it a point to always try and deliver on your promises. You must be consistent in your business so that people become comfortable with it and they will always know what to expect. For example, think of McDonalds. You know that you can count on certain items being on the menu. You know what the food will taste like. You also know that you are not going to walk into a McDonalds for a Big Mac and fries only to be told that they only have tacos that day. By building peoples trust, this becomes free advertisement for you in the form of talking by proxy. In other words, your reputation will proceed you and by default, other people will talk to other people for you and so on. Your reputation is like your silent partner but with huge potential so build that trust and it will pay off immensely.

The next important building block is to build a strong strong foundation for your business by doing a great job. Stop trying to be everything to everyone. The thinner you spread yourself by trying to offer everything you can, the greater the chances that your business will crack under pressure. Focus on a main goal for your business and be great at it. Make everything you do revolve around your core purpose. This will strengthen your businesses foundation by building strong core values that will win you plenty of referrals and again, this is less people that you have to actually reach out to because your satisfied clients and or customers will be helping to build your business for you by referring others to you.

Finally, the third building block I want you to concentrate on is to build a habit of asking for feedback. It does not matter what kind of feedback you get. It can be good, bad or indifferent as long as it is feedback. Good and indifferent feedback allows you to see what you are doing right. Bad feedback is even more important as it allows you to clean up a mistake, tweek a product, change a procedure or just simply to put you on notice of a possible impending problem. Always welcome feedback as it is like having free focus groups that you do not have to pay someone to run for you. Oh and feedback helps you to interact with people which in turn hones your conversational skills for a day like Talking Tuesday.

So although these three building blocks may seem as if they run into each other, that is the point. Think of it as one being the foundation to your home, one being the walls of that home and one being the roof. All three are fine structures but unless they work in conjunction with one another, they are basically useless. So build that trust, build a sturdy foundation and build an arsenal of free feedback that can propel your business upwards.

Do not forget about your continuous learning that will propel you further than your imagine can even take you. So for today, I have a great suggested reading for you. The book is called Building Trust. Please put it on your list of books to get from your library or try to borrow a copy from a friend. If neither option is available, here is a link to get a copy from Amazon>> https://amzn.to/2DJB61P

Stairway to success

On this #MammothMonday, I want to talk about that continuous climb that is a never ending journey toward your dream. Some people may ask why the journey does not end if you reach your dream and the answer is that until you have actually reached a dream that you have had in mind, you cannot possibly know how much more or how much further you could have dreamt. It is the same with learning. Once you finish first grade, you think you know it all until you graduate and start second grade and so on.

I used the above simplistic example to make you understand that you do not know what you do not know. Think about that. Until you reach what you thought was your end point, how were you supposed to know there was more unless you reached that next point?

Mammoth Monday is about looking as far as you can imagine. It is about thinking big and doing things you would have never previously done. Today is your weekly reminder to do just that, work and reach for the things you falsely believe you cannot obtain. Everything is obtainable as long as you actually want it and that you are not just solely dreaming of it. I have three favorite things I tell people to do in order to make your dreams come true and I am going to share them with you.

The first and most important thing you need to do in order to make your dreams come true is to believe in yourself. It sounds so ridiculously simple but most people do not believe in themselves. If you do not believe in yourself than there is not a single person who is going to believe in you. You have to work on your self-confidence and your inner strengths as well as blocking out the noise that squashes your self-confidence which brings me to my second thought.

The second thing you MUST do in order to make your dreams come true is that you must block out the naysayers. There will be people around you regardless of the direction you look that are totally negative and they will continuously try and knock everything you do. It is not because they are purposely trying to destroy you, on the contrary. It is because they, like millions of other people, have been programmed their entire lives to ignore their dreams and to “get their heads out of the clouds” because if you want anything, you need to get a job and go to work for somebody else. Block those naysayers. If you want to live your dream and build and grow the lifestyle you want, stop worrying about the noise around you and keep working to build your dream and stop building someone else’s dream.

The last thing that I will tell you to do on a daily basis is to do something daily toward building your dream. If the journey toward your dream involves cold calling people, make sure you cold call as many people as you can everyday. Pick a half hour slot to start each days calling regime and increase it as it becomes habit. Or, if the path toward your journey involves posting to social media, make sure you post at the very least, twenty five post to social media daily. These are just a couple of simple examples but I am sure you understand the point I am making.

So, make sure that you understand that reaching your dreams involves a constant journey up that stairway of success. The stairway will always level off with platforms where you can breathe and enjoy the fruits of your labor and bask in the joy of how far you have actually gone. Then when you are ready, you start walking up that figurative stairway again. Make sure to always keep your dreams alive.

There are ways of building a network of people who will help you build your dreams but it involves a learning process so, the book I have chosen for you today to help you learn this process is called, Build Your Dream Network. Go to your local library to borrow a copy or maybe you can borrow a copy from a friend. If neither option is available, here is a link to get it from Amazon>> https://amzn.to/2DEFQpr

If you choose to shop in Amazon, I would greatly appreciate it if you could use the link I have provided. As an Amazon Affiliate, it is possible I can earn a bonus and therefore continue to provide continued content we all enjoy. Thank you in advance!
