Always Refill whatever is missing

It is #TrashItThursday and my topic for today is to try and help you realize that whether you think you have enough of something or whether you feel you are lacking, unless you are dead, you can always get more, earn more, want more, share more, do more or yes, just take more.

On this Trash It Thursday, I want you to stop worrying where the level is. You are wasting time measuring where you stand instead of enjoying what is at hand and what possibilities still remain. I can talk about this topic on a personal life level for days but in keeping with a business theme, I will discuss how it can effect you business wise. There are two very distinct ways that people react when measuring there level in business which, is exhausting your mental, emotional and monetary capacities and it is these two mistakes that I feel are important for you to be conscious of.

The first mistake that people make is that they are constantly looking at how many clients they DO NOT have. They compare themselves to their peers and to other like minded businesses and they are always worried about the “why”. Why they have less clients, why they cannot find new leads, why others are making more and why are they always falling short. This mindset is complete and total self sabotage. STOP worrying about what others have. You are in business for yourself. You are growing and creating a sustainable lifestyle for you which will lead you to your financial freedom goals. If you do not start appreciating what you already have then your lack of appreciation will show and you will lose whatever it is you have that you have worked so hard for. Always remember that there is NO comparison. You can only do you. Stop trying to be like others and stop envying what others have. That which you envy will be what will kill you. Remember where you read that, right here.

On the flip side, the second mistake is, do not fall asleep on your business because you feel that your cup is full and arrogance has you believing that it will always be that way. You have to be consistent. It does not matter if you feel that you are running perfectly on all cylinders while on auto pilot. Everything in life needs attention. As soon as you sit back and think you have a perfect business running in evergreen mode, that is when your competition will come in and devour you. So here is my advice on this side, even if you have been lucky enough to build your business where it can stand on its own, you must continue to nurture it. Those that have placed you at that level will constantly be looking to see new tweaks that you have made and they will be referring new people to you which will allow you to stay evergreen. Then there are new people in search of businesses like yours. If they happen upon you and see that you have not made changes or updates in a long period of time then they will assume your business is no longer relevant and they will move on to your competition regardless of how fantastic your product is. Do not ever let an arrogant mindset replace your successful mindset because the two are not synonymous.

Therefore, my point on this #TrashItThursday for you is to stop measuring. There is plenty to go around in this world so do not stress the level that you currently hold. If you need more then you can always work toward growing. If you feel you have enough, you can continue to tweak and modify so that if evaporation in your business begins, a few maneuvers on your end and you are back on top.

Do you want to continue to grow and prosper? The only way to do that is to continue to learn. As usual I recommend reading something every chance you get even if it is an article, a pamphlet or a book. Just read. For today’s reading choice, I have chosen, once again, 3 Word Rebellion. If you have not already read this book, borrow a copy from your library or from a friend. If neither option is available, here is a link to get your own copy from Amazon >> https://amzn.to/2saavsf

The only real control is being able to control yourself

Do you have any idea that your inability to control a situation is caused by your inability to control yourself. Today on this #WisdomWednesday I am going to give you my take on this topic.

A situation can often get confused when a person feels as if everything is out of control. This situation at hand is what is actually out of control but whose control is it actually out of? If you take a step back from the situation, you will see that your part is not the part that is the problem that is out of control. What YOU want is never out of control because, it is what you want. You know what you want, you know how you want it done, you know who you want to do it and you know how long a timespan you want it completed in. The part that is out of control is the other person and yet you are the one suffering and stressed.

Let me explain. The only reason that you feel out of control or that a situation is out of control is because you are trying to control someone else and their thoughts and beliefs. The same way that someone cannot control your situation, you too cannot expect to control someone else’s situation. When you try to control someone else, that is where your stress comes in and that is where all your problems begin. Once you get on this terrible and dangerous rollercoaster ride of trying to control the way another person thinks or believes, your life becomes inundated trying to figure out how to make the other party conform to you. That mentality I am here to tell you will only cause your downfall and your destruction.

So what do you do when you feel that a situation is getting out of control? First, you have to recognize that the situation is not out of control at all but that the problem is that the opposite party is in disagreement with your expectations. Secondly, once you realize this, it is time to walk away from those in opposition to you and you must make the conscious effort to find other like minded people who will compliment your needs and desires rather than wasting precious energy trying to convince people to conform to you.

The point of this blog is to make you understand that with almost eight billion people on this planet, stop stressing over people who are not like minded with your beliefs. Walk away from those who refuse to see your views and gather people who will blend with your ways. It really is that simple. Please do not misunderstand me though. I am not saying that the people who are in disagreement with you are wrong or bad, I am simply saying that they are on different planes as you so move on. Also, remember that just because you find like minded people to work with you does not necesarrily mean that you had the better idea, it just means that you have people who believe the same way you do so stay open minded to change and adaptation but do it with people who are on the same page that you are so that you can avoid unnecessary control battles, stress and disastrous waste of time and money.

Every single situation in life is a lesson to be learned whether it is a lesson to never repeat something again or whether it is a lesson learned to grow and prosper. As long as you remain true to who you are and to your belief system, you cannot go wrong. One way to continuously continue to learn and to grow is to continue to learn, period. My favorite way for people to do this is through reading because you can continuously read through material over and over again until it is engrained in you. The book I have chosen for today is Control Your Destiny Or Someone Else Will. Please go and get a copy from your library or borrow it from a friend. if neither option is available, here is a link to get your own copy from Amazon >> https://amzn.to/301sE8s

Facebook Groups

Did you know that you can find hundreds if not thousands of people to talk to, people who are interested in what you are offering, just by visiting Facebook groups? Well, on this #TalkingTuesday, that is exactly what I am going to talk to you about.

If you do not already have a Facebook account, I highly recommend you get one. It will literally take minutes from your day and then you will have massive power at your fingertips. Once you have a Facebook account, start searching your topic on the search line at the top of your news feed. For example, if your business is cooking in the buff, go to the search line and type, cooking in the buff. You may not get an exact hit but you will get groups that are similar which will be a perfect starting point for you.

The first thing to do is to join the group or groups that you found interesting and once they accept your request to join, start engaging people on a daily basis. DO NOT spam people or you will probably be blocked from that group. Always remember that you are looking to grow a lasting following and not just to make a single sale. If you are looking for a few quick dollars than my blog is not for you. This blog is for growing and building a company or business that will allow you to live a life of financial freedom with an evergreen business. That being said, engage people in these groups by answering their questions or by asking your own questions and waiting for responses. Join in on discussions. Be constantly engaging people and soon they will begin to remember you because as I am sure I do not have to tell you, out of sight, out of mind. If people do not know you exist then they cannot become clients or customers.

Once you get the hang of Facebook groups, you can create your very own and very specific group on Facebook. You can slowly invite people from other groups to your new group or you can spend a few dollars and run Facebook ads just to generate an initial following. By the way, the cheapest daily cost for a Facebook ad is $5 so work that into your budget if need be. Once your Facebook group is up and running, make sure you are constantly posting information relevant to your business and that will help your business grow exponentially.

In my opinion, Facebook groups are one of the best ways to talk to and engage people. Rather than just speaking to one person at a time, you can get your message out to hundreds all with one posting. Take advantage of these free forums to find clients and customers.

You need to read and familiarize yourself with the ins and outs of social media. Even if you only have a few takeaways each time you read, every takeaway will help you gain that much more knowledge and know how. I am going to suggest that you read 500 Social Media Marketing Tips. If you have not already done so, get a copy from your library or a friend. If neither is an option, here is a link to get your own copy from Amazon >> https://amzn.to/2nb3Vjd

In the moMent

Are you back to reality after floating through holiday fun, food and frolicking? I sure hope so because today is #MammothMonday and you need to get back on course.

I am not going to be one of those people who tells you that I had an amazing holiday with my amazing family and we did amazing things and I got amazing presents. Those kinds of statements are what you read in other peoples social media feeds that make you feel “less than” because they make you feel as though everyone except you has a perfect and amazing life. I want to be the one to tell you that nobody has perfection and the sooner you realize that, the sooner you will progress in your own life and in reality.

What do I want to tell you? I want to say that I had a very nice and a very happy holiday season that I am grateful for. Why would I not consider my holiday amazing? First of all, like so many others, there are people in my life who have passed and even though the tears are gone, the memories always bring pain especially during this time of year. So how do I get through that? You just do. Period. If you are hurting, there is nothing that anyone can say to make it better. It is up to you to be grateful for the memories that are left behind and then it is detrimental to continue to live your life and that is exactly what I did and what I do. I kept the memories present and I enjoyed the fact that I had all the people who were celebrating with me around me for another holiday. My ability to consciously see this is one of my mammoth ways of progressing through life.

Next, my holiday was great because of the family and friends that came to my home to celebrate but it was not amazing because there was family who could not come and therefore caused a void in the celebration for me. So what did I do? I did what I hope you all do, I loved and enjoyed every second with every person that was able to be there with me without ruining my holiday by focusing my energy on all of the missing faces. My mammoth point here is that you must appreciate what you have rather than wallowing in what you do not have.

My next statement is about everyday personal life. We all have something going on and if we allow it to inundate our every thought than we will destroy ourselves from within. What am I trying to say? I, like many others, am currently in the process of ending my twenty-five year marriage. There was no way for my holiday to be amazing when I have this heavy burden on top of me. So how did I handle this? I was extremely grateful that we were able to put our issues and differences aside and have a peaceful holiday. Do not get me wrong, my nerves were on edge because I was in a constant defensive mode, ready and waiting to diffuse any possible issue at all costs. It made for an extremely tense situation for me, inwardly, but my mammoth move was to consciously make sure that everyone that I invited over to celebrate the holiday was there without burdening them with any personal issues. I also made sure that my spouse had everything he needed and wanted. Not because I wanted to keep him quiet, I did it because I wanted to treat him the same way I treated everyone else, because it was the right thing to do. Period.

My point for this #MammothMonday is to kick off your New Year by making you realize that in life, just because things are not perfect and they may not be amazing, does not mean that you cannot have a great life. What you have is more important than what you want. What you want is something you can work toward when you appreciate what it is that you have. Do not stress over yesterday because you cannot change a single thing about it. Do not stress over tomorrow because it has not been given to you yet. However, good, bad or indifferent, be grateful for today and everything it gives you. It may give you a lesson or it may give you a gift but for sure what it has given you is an opportunity. It has given you the opportunity to choose whatever path each event brings to you. Maybe it gives you the opportunity to start a new diet or open a savings account or meet up with an old friend or end a bad relationship and start a new or start an exercise regimen or make an apology or start a novel you have put off or, and I stress this with pride, the opportunity to start living your life on your terms.

My blog is meant to help you along your path toward your journeys end or rather, toward your dream goal. I hope you read my previous and future blog post because like anything else in life, most things just pass through your brain but eventually, there are things that stop you in your tracks and make you say, “Oh, I get it now”. So please read my blog post and enjoy them for what they are, your personal cheerleading squad along your journeys path.

To kick off my reading list for this New Year, I am going to once again suggest that you read Crushing It. Even if you have read it before, read it again. You will definitely pick up on new things that you may have missed during your first read through. If you have not read it and you do not have a copy see if you can borrow it from your library or from a friend. 2020 Tax Season

PSA:: Every year I see people suffer having to pay penalties and interest to the IRS and to their state taxing authorities because they did not want to spend money to pay a professional to prepare their taxes for them. In most cases, the income tax preparation cost is the less than one night out on the town. People, I think you are worth the fee so don’t make this mistake. I had one new client on December 30th that kicked off this season for me because had they paid, on average, $175 to have their income tax return professionally prepared, they would now not be owing $3600. DO NOT prepare your own returns regardless of how easy you think it might be. Find a professional that you are comfortable with and grow a financial link with that you can utilize all year long and moving forward. That being said, Welcome to the new Tax Filing Season. For those of you who are already my clients, I’m ready for you. My tax program has been installed and taken for a test run. For those of you who are in need of a Tax Professional, I would like to offer my services and say that I have been doing individual, corporate and fiduciary tax returns for more than 25 years and thanks to modern technology, my clients live and work throughout the United States so your address does not have any implications for me preparing your returns. For information purposes, I’m located in Mahopac NY and for tax preparation purposes I use the best state of the art program, ProSeries by Intuit. If you are interested in having your income taxes prepared, please inbox me and ask me whatever questions you may have. I also do payroll preparation (no company is too small and your pay periods are all welcome), quarterly and annual payroll tax returns prepared as well. I also offer W2, W3, 1099 and 1096 preparation. Aside from taxes, I offer business consulting and business creations. These are my main products but keep in mind that each of these broad sections have their own bullet points so if you have a specific task, we can discuss your individual needs.
