The Pandemic

I am calling it the pandemic because I am so stressed out that I have heard the words corona virus thousands of times already. On this #TrashItThursday, let us all breathe deep and throw out as many fears as we can.

My phone has not stopped all day with text messages and voicemails asking me questions about the proposed payroll tax changes as well as whether or not the April 15th tax filing date will be extended and a variety of other questions. As of today, from what I know, there has been no real conversation regarding payroll taxes, it was only proposed and there does not seem to be much bipartisan movement toward any such changes. As far as extending the time to file date, we are in the same situation as above, we are waiting for the “powers that be” to make these decisions. As soon as there is any word regarding your financial life, I will post whatever information that I obtain so, keep preparing to file your taxes on or before April 15th.

So here we all are, in an unprecedented worldwide pandemic. What I do know, is that most of us do not know enough medically to make any kind of contribution to eradicate this virus so it leaves you wondering if you can do anything. The answer to that question is yes. You can heed the warnings like washing your hands, like not touching your face and if possible, try and maintain social distances. If you are able to, self quarantine to keep yourself safe while this pandemic try’s to level out and die off.

If you are stuck at home, use the time to build and or grow your business. Knowing you are going to have this time can really boost the amount of work you can do to create that dream. You can also use the time to hang out with your kids or complete a home project. Whatever it is you do with your time, try not to let fear lead you. These are scary times especially when dealing with this unknown monster but being scared should not mean that you run and hide. Being scared should put you on guard so that you can maintain your wits and make smart decisions.

Make sure that you remind yourself that you are not alone. The world is dealing with the same problem. Stay focused and I recommend watching a reputable news outlet no more than an hour per day. That hour is to gather new information then move on. People who have the news on all day seem to get excessively stressed because the news will play all the horrible highlights in a loop and pound that information into your head over and over again.

Stay vigilant not vulnerable. Stay prepared not pondering. Make sure you have all necessary supplies for you and your family for at least a two week period but this does not mean buying out a warehouse. If you get sick, take care of yourself. Your body will be harder to heal if you run it into the ground. Most importantly, keep living your life.

Now, you know that I have a book to go along with this blog post. The book is called Prepare Your Family For Survival. If possible, borrow a copy from your local library and if that is not an option, here is a link to get your own copy at Amazon, and here is your link >>> https://amzn.to/38L5ZAd
