A huge welcome back on this #TalkingTuesday. Today was my sons fifteenth birthday and with all the running around, I am literally just getting to my blog for today.
That is actually what I want to briefly talk about. When your day is full and you are not sure how you are going to fit everything in, just take a deep breath and assess each task to decide their order of importance. Let me explain how I turned this into my version of #TalkingTuesday.
First, after walking my son to the school bus, I spent the next three hours of my morning doing payroll which required calling my clients and discussing pay rates. During two of the calls, I discussed them gathering their paperwork so that I can prepare their income taxes. I ended each call by reminding my clients that I am always looking for new referrals. You must always plant the seeds for new work.
After I finished payroll, I went birthday shopping for my son and I took my friend along with me. I spent the next three hours running around like a lunatic getting all errands done while bouncing ideas of my friend. You must always plant seeds and harvest whatever is blooming (ie an idea that may have struck a nerve).
My next three hours was spent preparing the house for my son to come home to birthday happiness and in between I was placing many text messages to reach out to clients whose returns I received and needed to confirm information. You must always coordinate your tasks in such a way that you fit in as much as possible.
Finally, after the birthday fun, I spent the rest of the night preparing income tax returns. After completing each return, I called my client to discuss their return and before ending the call, I once again asked them to refer me to friends and family. Again, plant those seeds.
So you see, my point of this blog post is to show you how you can fit your business building into your day even when your day may be filled with so many other things. Remember to talk to everyone who steps into your daily space.
I have a book that fits in with today’s blog post. The book is called Boss Mom and it is a book that I have suggested before. If you did not get the book already, borrow a copy from your local library or from a friend. If neither option is available, here is a link to get your own copy from Amazon >> https://amzn.to/32Eytcv
If you choose to shop in Amazon, I would greatly appreciate it if you could use the link I have provided. As an Amazon Affiliate, it is possible I can earn a bonus and therefore continue to provide continued content we all enjoy. Thank you in advance!
