Congratulations to Heather Magliari, our Summer 2021 Recipient of the Female/Women Empowerment Scholarship. Heather is a graduate of Mahopac High School and is currently a student at the University of Rhode Island, studying to become a Biomedical Engineer. Heather epitomizes exactly what the Female/Women Empowerment Scholarship symbolizes. We actually did not get any applicants for our primary scholarship that was offered so, Heather, knowing that she was just outside of the qualifications wrote to us and pled her case as to why she deserved to be considered for a scholarship award. Heather’s strong will, go get-em attitude and her absolute moxie to succeed and get what she wants, won us over. Heather is a perfect example of, you will never receive if you don’t ask. So, CONGRATULATIONS Heather and may all your dreams and asperations come true!
